The lead and zinc ore is the mineral ore is rich in metal element of Pb and Zn. The lead and zinc metal are widely use in the electrical industry, engineering industry, military industry, metallurgical industry, chemical industry, light industry, medical industry, etc.. Besides, Lead is also widely used in nuclear industry, petroleum industry.

There are more than 250 kinds of lead and zinc ores, however, there are only 17 can be used in the industry. And among these, galena (PbS) and sphalerite ( ZnS) are the most important.
Types of lead and zinc ore:
Galena is the natural mineral form of
lead(II) sulfide. It is the most important lead ore mineral. Galena is one of the most abundant and
widely distributed sulfide minerals. It is normally with the lead gray color and specific gravity is
7.2-7.6 and the mosh scale hardness is 2.5-2.75.

Grade IV | 45 | 2.5 | 7.0 | 0.7 | 2.0 | 4.0 |
Sphalerite ((Zn,Fe)S) is a mineral that is the chief ore of zinc. It consists largely of zinc
sulfide in crystalline form but almost always contains variable iron. It is usually found in association
with galena, pyrite, and other sulfides along with calcite, dolomite, and fluorite. It always occurs
with brown, yellow, red, green or black color. Its specific gravity is 3.5-4 and the mosh scale hardness
is 3.9-4.2.
