Coal ore is a combustible black or brownish-black sedimentary rock usually occurring in rock strata in layers or veins. In modern society, coal as the indispensible fuel plays an important part in industrialization and modernization.
Types of coal ore:
Coal ores can be classified into 4 types ---peat,
lignite, black coal and anthracite that have different properties usually dependent on their age and the
depth to which they have been buried under other rocks. The degree of coal development is referred to as
a coal’s “rank,” with peat being the lowest rank coal and anthracite the highest.
The solutions for coal preparation:
The methods for coal preparation mainly
include dry coal preparation and wet coal preparation. The preparation made in the air is called dry
coal preparation while the preparation performed in water, heavy fluid and suspension fluid refers to
wet coal preparation.
Among various methods, coal preparation plants usually give priority to
heavy-medium separation and coal flotation.
